Are you feeling like you want to change things up and do something different in your business?
It may be time for a change, but that doesn't have to mean new and time-intensive.
You are probably sitting on revenue and transformation potential right now that will take less effort to implement than you might think.
After working with numerous businesses who experiencing change and reimagining, the common theme I am seeing is...
The "new" direction is almost always rooted in something they did previously and never fully implemented.
I bet you have something like that in your business too.
I know I do.
Recently, I've shared about the new way to work together inside Simply to Scale Elite.
If you’ve been a part of the Lean Out community you may recognize this as extended version of The Lean Out Level Up Accelerator.
It’s not really something new at all, it's just new right now.
It's reimagined and evolved, but it’s pulling from something that our clients loved because it was super simple and delivered big results.
Innovation can look like reimagining something you are currently doing or previously did, instead of inventing something new.
Which is a smarter and simpler way to scale.
In my experience, entrepreneurs tend to be 2 things:
- Visionaries
- Fast Movers
While those are both incredible traits, and a key part of our success in business, there is also a risk.
Have you ever created or developed something that you knew was absolutely amazing, but no one could see or understand it (yet)?
You had to:
- work way too hard to explain things to people
- spend copious amount of time to help them see what was so obvious to you?
The blessing and curse of the visionary is that we are often ahead of our time.
We see things others don't, and blaze the trail for others to follow.
The problem lies in also being such fast movers (and let's face it, pretty impatient).
We move on to the next thing before our market has the opportunity to catch up.
That can leave us feeling frustrated that others just don't "get it" - "it" being the idea, the value, etc.
And it can leave us not fully realizing the results from all of our effort.
Has this ever happened to you...
You launch a product or service that your sure will resonate with your audience only to hear crickets.
Then a year or more later, someone else does the same thing and it's a wild success?
So frustrating!
From complete businesses, to programs and products, to concepts.
It can be easy to fall into the trap of "I should have..." or "if only I did..." and be hard on ourselves.
But, the reality is that we were simply ahead of our time.
And, not ready to climb the mountain of being first to introduce an idea or new product, program or service.
But here's what that also means: It means you are sitting on a goldmine that you can breathe life back into.
It may be thought leadership content and concepts or even complete programs.
With that in mind, ask yourself the following 3 questions:
- What have you created that is collecting digital dust right now? Or what can't you seem to stop thinking about (re)creating? Inventory your past creations and highlight those that still feel in alignment with the future state vision you have for your business.
- With a dust off and packaging, pricing, and positioning or messaging update, which could be relevant and wildly successful right now?
- Which could be re-implemented in a simple and low-time investment way?
If you are feeling ready to shake things up in your business, I invite you to start by assessing if you already have something you want to breathe new life into.
Take what is old and make it new again.
Maybe there won't be anything on your list.
However, I'll bet that there is at least one concept to re-pursue or a program you regret that you closed down.
Start there.
See if you can reimagine it in a new and more aligned way.
Use this practice when you want to shake things up in your business.
This is a great way to generate new revenue and transformation potential right now–without putting a strain on your financial or time resources.
