How does immediately sound?

As soon as you complete registration, you will receive an email with login instructions to the Academy.  You could literally get started in the next couple minutes when you join now.

Forever.  In addition to having forever access to the materials, the content is updated as new printers and print options come available.  We stay in constant contact with printers and others in the planner industry to stay on top of the latest information and printing options available for planners, workbooks, and journals.

Nope. For those who want to accelerate their results and move creating a planner from their TO-DO list to their DONE list, the curriculum is structured to support you in getting it done in 90 days.  

However, you can go at your own pace.  You get forever access to the course curriculum so take as long as you'd like, and access the content on repeat every time you decide to print additional releases or create a new product. 

How much you get done and how quickly you get it done depends on how consistently you put in the work towards creating your PWJ.

There are also other factors that can affect the timeline such as how long graphic design takes, and if you choose to work with a domestic or international printer.

If you follow the structure and timeline provided, within 90 days you could have:

• Your planner, workbook, or journal content fully created
• Graphic design of your PWJ complete 
• A printed proof of your PWJ in-hand

Here is what you are unlikely to have in 90 days:

You will not have your ready-to-ship-to-your-customers final printed product in hand (unless leveraging print-on-demand - more on that below).

The goal is that you have a printed prototype and submit your purchase order so production can begin within the 90 days.

Once you have your Purchase Order submitted, here is what to expect:

Every printer has different turn-around times.  

If printing-on-demand, you can have a shippable product immediately, however there are a lot of limitations that don't always make print-on-demand the best option. 

If you are not printing-on-demand, most of the printers we recommend average 4 - 8 weeks to create your PWJ from the time they receive your purchase order and payment. 

If you choose to print internationally, there will be additional time for transit (we recommend you print domestically for your 1st order). 

So what do you do while waiting for your sellable PWJ to arrive?

While you are waiting to receive your product, you have the opportunity to start accepting pre-sales and to get ready to market and sell your shippable product.

Yes.  We provide you with the list of printers we currently recommend including each printer's capabilities and location to help you in selecting the best fit for your PWJ.  The list is kept up to date so you always have the latest recommendations.

We also share recommendations for packaging providers and other resources to help you create, package, and ship your PWJ.

If you are creating a PWJ that you plan to sell at scale, I recommend that you work with a professional graphic designer who understands the intricacies of designing for print.  

Print-ready files are BEST created by someone who is skilled in graphic design tools like InDesign or Illustrator. 

BUT it is up to you how much you want to invest in graphic design or if you want to do it yourself leveraging other design tools. 

Inside the Planner Academy, you'll find options to get started if you don't have a big budget for design, as well as some things to look for when choosing to invest in a professional graphic designer.

There are many considerations that influence the cost including graphic design work and printing costs that depend on the page count & complexity of your planner, workbook and journal.

Unfortunately there is no one-size-fits-all ballpark estimate because a lot of factors play into the end price. 

Inside Planner Academy you will find modules and calculators to help you figure out your pricing and profit margin and try to get your printing costs within your target ranges. 

The real question is how much time can you dedicate to creating your PWJ each week?

The more time you dedicate, the faster you will get it complete.

If you want to get your PWJ created in 90 days, the recommendation is that you set aside 3-5 hours per week for the first half of the 90 days and then 1-3 hours per week for the second half of the 90 days. 

Why is there less time needed in the second half of the 90 days?

In the first half, you are focused on creating the content for your PWJ and this is the most time-intensive.  In the second half, a lot of the work is done by your graphic designer so the time you need to allocate lessens.

Are you sure that's how much time it will take me?

No.  There is no way to know that because everyone moves at a different pace.  These ranges are based on what we have seen it take prior clients however that doesn't mean it will be the same for you. Where it may take someone else 3 hours, it may take you 1 or 5.  So you will need to determine how long it will take for you and plan accordingly.

What if I don't have that much time to allocate? 

No problem, just allocate as much time as you have.  The more time you can dedicate to this project, the faster you will finish it, but as long as you consistently take action, you will get your PWJ finished.

And keep in mind that you have forever access to the curriculum so you really can set your own pace.

I don't know about you, but I won't take the time to complete a program that has 60 minute modules and a whole bunch of extra and unnecessary content stuffed into the curriculum to make it appear more valuable.
